Corona Virus Pandemic: Do Not Engage In Self Medication, Omovigho Caution Nigerians.

Edafeghwara Omos Foundation, an International NGO on Tuesday 31, March 2020 visited Ethiope West LGA of Delta State, Nigeria to sensitize community leaders, youth and market women on the need to stay safe and observe simple hygiene in a bid to curtail the dreaded #corona_virus.
In a Press release made available to Journalists, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Engr. Omovigho Edafeghwara called on Nigerians not to engage in self medication.
The Statement reads;
CORONA VIRUS DISEASE ( COVID-19)
The virus is spread by breathing the droplet from an infected person or touching it with your hand and putting it in your mouth, nose or eye.
Things to do, to stop the spread of Corona Virus Disease.
1. Wash your hand regularly and whenever you touch somebody or public item, using soap and running water for at least 20 seconds
2. Use alcohol base hand sanitizer if you are out, whenever you touch somebody or public item where soap and water is not available. So always move with personal pocket hand sanitizer.
3. Avoid touching your Mouth, Nose, or Eye.
4. Keep a safe distance of at least 2 metres from anyone coughing or sneezing.
5. If you must cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with tissue paper or sneeze onto the elbow of your sleeve.
6. Avoid crowded places or public areas with high traffic volume.
7. If possible STAY AT HOME and do self isolation with your immediate family members, only go out for critical issues, and use face mask.
8. If you feel sick stay at home and call a doctor for for proper medical check and test.
DO NOT SELF MEDICATE and PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD THE VIRUS.
The NGO also presented Sanitizers, Facemasks and Handgloves to members of the public as part of the sensitization exercise.

Photos: Edafeghwara Omos Foundation Provides Palliative to Volunteers

It was a joyous moment on Sunday May 10, 2020 when Volunteers of an International NGO known as Edafeghwara Omos Foundation were given some palliative to assist them during this lockdown occassioned by the covid-19 pandemic.
The volunteers drawn from the various LGAs of Delta and Bayelsa State were given Rice and #10,000 (Ten thousand naira) each as part of the NGO social responsibility to it's volunteers.
Addressing the volunteers, the Chairman/international Director of the NGO, Engr. Omovigho Edafeghwara represented by Mr. Fashion Bokare thanked the volunteers for their support so far, urging them to be more committed to the ideals and vision of the NGO
Highlight of the event was the presentation of the Rice and Ten thousand naira (N10,000) cash to each volunter.

Edafeghwara Omos Foundation; Redefining Empowerment

As part of its core mandate to give meaning to lives and transform our society, an International NGO known as Edafeghwara Omos Foundation has commenced its Free skills acquisition training programme for youths, (boys and girls) women and men across the 25 LGAs of Delta State, Nigeria.
At the maiden edition of the programme, over 300 participants were trained on Snacks (Meat pie, fish pie, chin-chin, small chops), Cake baking, Soap, insecticides making.
Speaking with media men at the opening event at Mosogar Town, the founder and initiator of the NGO, Engr. Omovigho Edafeghwara stated that the NGO is founded on a vision to transform youths, women and men through evidenced based programmes that focus on providing Empowerment to the people.
"We are committed in empowering youths, women to be self reliant by creating jobs through skills acquisition. Gone are those days when some persons, especially politicians will provide Bikes, Tricycle (popularly known as Keke) for youth. That's enslavement and not Empowerment. Why not convert such funds into opening business or trade? That's what we are going to change. The youth need orientations on what should be Empowerment, we are changing the narrative" he stated.
Engr. Omovigho while addressing the participants, called on them to take the training serious stating that "even a Professor needs a skill" to survive in our competitive world.
"After the training, our Monitoring & Evaluation Officers will be in touch with you to monitor your progress, give necessary guidance and also provide you with financial support to expand on your production and business without waiting for government to provide you with loans or jobs" he stated.
The training which took place in Mosogar, Jesse and Oghara towns all in Ethiope west LGA from 28th to 30th of October, 2019 will be extended to the 25 LGAs of Delta State.
